Years ago, people took misfortune in stride.  It was something that they EXPECTED.  As a nation, we have gotten out of this habit of "being prepared;" a run-of-the-mill snow storm now can cut off our elecricity for days and we don't know what to do.

A group of folks in North Dakota have decided to prepare a resource that we hope will help to change this.  If we are NOT prepared, then misfortune can send us into a tailspin.  If we are prepared, then we - too - can take a disaster in stride.

The book will be set up to be photocopied and used as handouts at meetings, at church, or as a public service.  Royalties earned will go to the disaster fund set up by the folks preparing the resource, and help local North Dakota people.

With YOUR HELP and the help of these folks, DewSpirit Publishing hopes to have a book ready by September 2008.

WHAT WE NEED:  Personal stories capture interest.  If you have experienced a local disaster and have a story to tell that would help others be prepared in case something similar happens to them, send it to  us.  If we use it, we will send you 5 copies of the book when it is published.

We plan to have our first set of four sheets/insert ready by the beginning of January and you can download them from a link on this page.
