On returning to my home state of North Dakota, from a 12 year stay in New Mexico, I began painting my ld favorites, badlands and bison.   Native North Dakotans leke the badlands for their changing shapres, colors, and moods.  I have painted many badland scenes in both watercolor and oil in every season.

I watched these blue birds hatch out a family from the bluebird house on the corner of my deck, when livingi n Partk Rapids, MN.  The hollyhocks made a nice color contrast to this bright pair of bluebirds.
